General values #

  • Signal type: Digital TV
  • Type: Cable (DVB-C)
  • Operator: Ander (or Telenet)
  • Frequency: 322Mhz or 322000Khz
  • Channel step size: 8Mhz
  • Modulation: 256-QAM
  • Symbol frequency: 6875Ksym/s
  • Network region ID: 22

Before you begin #

  • Some steps on your TV may differ from the steps shown below
  • Connect your TV using a correct female-male COAX cable (not included) with the COAX outlet on the wall having TV indicated on it.
  • If your are asked to enter a pincode; but did you forgot? Try one of the default pincodes: 0000, 1111 of 1234
  • Always consult your personal TV-equipments manual for further information on configuration
  • Your TV needs to be equipped with a DVB-C tuner

Examples #

Example on how to set-up a Phlips TV #

  • Press the Home-button on your remote control
  • Select Setup and press OK on your remote control
  • Select Search for channels and press OK on your remote control
  • Select Re-install channels and press OK on your remote control
  • Select Belgium and press OK on your remote control
  • Select Cable (DVB-C) and press OK on your remote control
  • If possible Telenet (fast-scan) or Other as cableprovider
  • Select Settings and press OK on your remote control before you start the installation
  • Enter the following values…
    • Symbol rate mode: Automatic
    • Frequency scan: Quick scan
    • Frequency step size: 8MHz
    • Digital channels: On
    • If you see the option Free/Scrambled, choose: Free + scrambled
  • Press the green button on your remote control
  • Select Start and press OK on your remote control: you now begin the channel installation
  • For Network frequency enter the value 322Mhz (322000Khz) , select Done and press OK on your remote control
  • For Network ID enter the code for your region: 22
  • Select Done and press OK on your remote control: your TV now scans the channels
    • This is complete when you see this message: Channel search finished
    • A summary of the results is then shown
    • Select Finish and press OK on your remote control
  • Make sure the option Automatic Channel Update is set to On
    This feature enables reception of new or changed channels automatically
    • Press the Home button on your remote control
    • Select Setup and press OK on your remote control
    • First select Channel settings, then Channel installation and then press OK on your remote control
    • Enter the following values:
      • Automatic Channel Update: On
      • Channel update message: On
    • Close the menu (by pressing the Back button on your remote control one or more times)

Example on how to set-up a Samsung TV #

  • Press the Menu-button on your remote control
  • Select Channel and press OK on your remote control.
    For Aerial you must select: Cable (DVB-C)
  • Go to Auto tuning and press  OK twice on your remote control
    • Select Aerial: Cable (DVB-C)
    • Select Channel Type: Digital
    • Select Service Provider: Other
    • Select Scan Mode: Quick
    • Select Network: Change Options
      Press OK on your remote control
  • Enter the following values in Network…
    • Selecteer Network: Manual
    • Network-ID: 22
    • For Frequency enter the value: 322000 Khz
      press OK on your remote control
    • Select Modulation: 256QAM
      press OK on your remote control
    • For Symbolrate enter the value: 6875 KS/s
      press OK on your remote control
    • Select Close and press OK on your remote control
  • Then select Scan (or Next, this differs per type of TV) and press OK on your remote control
  • Your TV now scans the channels

Example on how to set-up a Humax iHDR-5200C Personal Video Recorder #

  • Before you start, make sure the device comes with factory settings
  • Connect the device and wait until the first screen 1 – Taal appears
  • Select your language
  • Select Next and press OK on your remote control
  • 2 – Display Select the correct settings which match your TV.
    Whenever in doubt, leave the default settings
  • Select Next and press OK on your remote control
  • 3 – Search Channels enter the following values…
    • Frequency (Mhz): 322
    • Network ID: 22
    • Symbol Rate: Auto
  • Select Next and press OK on your remote control: Your device now scans the channels
    The scanning of channels can take up to 5 minutes, If no channels could be found, make sure you are using the correct coax cables and all is connected correctly.
  • Select Save to save the channellist into your device
  • 4 – Configure Network (optioneel)
    • Connect your device using a wired LAN cable to one of the free ports of the SmartEye router
  • Select Next and press OK on your remote control: an overview of your IP configuration DHCP will be shown
  • Select Next and press OK on your remote control: 5 – Result
  • Select Next and press OK on your remote control: You now successfully configured your device
